Radiothon raises $52,000

The second annual GX94 and FOX FM Airwaves for Health radiothon was a huge success raising $52,877. The annual 36-hour radiothon was held April 21 and 22, with both radio stations broadcasting live from the Parkland Mall. All proceeds from the radiothon go toward the purchase of cardiac equipment, including an echocardiogram machine, for the Regional Health Centre in Yorkton. DETAILS >>

Charity Golf Classic
taking entries

The 2008 Charity Golf Classic, being held Thursday, June 12 at Good Spirit Lake Golf and Family Resort, is now accepting entries. As always, the tournament will fill up quickly, and teams of four are being accepted on a first come, first served basis. The event has raised more than $400,000 since its inception.

$100,000 Cash Lottery
tickets now available

The Health Foundation has launched its third annual $100,000 Cash Lottery. Once again the grand prize is $100,000. In total the cash prizes given away in the lottery will be $125,000. This year the proceeds of the lottery will assist the purchase of an echocardiogram machine and other heart monitoring and diagnostic equipment for the regional health centre. DETAILS >>

Cardiac Care Campaign focus of fundraising in 08

The Health Foundation started 2008 with a campaign to purchase vital cardiac care equipment for the Regional Health Centre in Yorkton, with the new campaign coming on the heels of the highly-successful effort that raised $800,000 in 2007 for digital mammography equipment.

The campaign received a kick-start on Dec. 13 when the Mikado Curling and Community Club made the first donation--$15,000. DETAILS >>

The Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan, Inc. is a volunteer organization dedicated to raising funds for priority medical equipment and to providing education in the fields of health and wellness.

Our mission is to receive, manage and disburse funds for capital and educational purposes in a way that recognizes donors, to enhance the programs and services of the Sunrise Health Region.

The Foundation is guided by a volunteer board, and operates independently from both the health region and government. It receives no money other than your much-appreciated donations.
